Wolfgang Tillmans. If One Thing Matters, Everything Matters
Wolfgang Tillmans is one of the most significant artists to have emerged in Europe in the 1990s. His work for cult magazines such as The Face and I-D in the late eighties and early nineties won him acclaim at an early age. His informal and apparently spontaneous photographs of gay pride activists, eco-warriors and clubbers had such a powerful impact that he was swiftly hailed as a chronicler of his generation.
