Jackson Pollock once said, "I am nature." To that, Andy Warhol replied (well, not directly to Pollock...), "I am a machine." Somewhere in between these seemingly contradictory statements bloom the constructed flora installations of Gerda Steiner and Jörg Lenzlinger. The young Swiss couple variously use artificial plants, nectar lakes, and bears to create intimate, magical worlds where extraordinary things can happen.
